About Ytoo!

As a kid, I was hooked on portal sites. They didn’t have much to offer in terms of quality or education, but they were loaded with all kinds of links, news, and flashy ads. They were like digital candy: bad for you, but oh so tempting, sparking my interest and imagination for the online world.

Fast forward to 2020, when I discovered Neocities, a platform that reminded me of the old Geocities for personal web pages, but with a twist: these sites were fresh and new! I was amazed to see so many people making their own websites—not just boring portfolios or business cards, but real expressions of themselves. It made me wonder what I could bring to the table, which led me back to those old-school portal sites.

But portal sites today are nothing like they used to be. They’re full of clickbait headlines, ads for gadgets and boring mobile games—full of the page!—and almost all of them use the same dull waterfall-style layout (yawn!). So, I thought, why not go against the grain? I decided to create a retro-themed portal site—no ads, no fees—with links to various services that people actually love. And that’s how Vegbao.com was born (but wait, there’s more!).

Then, one night in 2024, I had a brilliant idea. Since I had gathered so many links to retro websites, why not make a portal site dedicated to English content with a nostalgic vibe? And that’s how Ytoo! came to life.

Ytoo! is more than just a link-sharing site. It’s a way to inspire more people to join the fun, to create their own websites, and to share what they’re really passionate about. It’s about breaking free from the chains of social media likes and algorithms, encouraging creative exchanges, and sparking inspiration. The goal? To make sure that the next Y2K is not just about “artificial” intelligence but also filled with more “human” intelligence.
